Welcome to ECWR Zoological Park

The ECWR Zoological Park was established in 2013 by the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education, conservation and rehabilitation for the welfare of Florida’s natural fauna. Our unique zoo serves as a sanctuary and lifelong home for native wildlife and exotic animals that have been abandoned or abused. All of our resident animals have a history, and it is our duty to share their stories so we may educate the public on conservation and inspire respect for the natural world.

The ECWR Zoological Park is one of Northwest Florida’s must-see attractions. Spanning ten acres, the zoo is home to over 130 animals of 35 different species. Our residents include tigers, lemurs, spider monkeys and endangered species from six continents.

The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and the ECWR Zoological Park are not-for-profit organizations made up of a caring staff and dedicated volunteers. We are supported through the generous donations of local residents and businesses. Donations made to the ECWR and the Zoological Park are tax deductible, and a copy of the 501 (c)(3) status can be made available upon request.

"Keeper Talks"

Every Saturday and Sunday you can learn something new at our scheduled “Keeper Talks”. This is an opportunity to see zoo animals in action with their keepers. Talks include everything from background and habitat information, training techniques, and fun facts unique to our animals. Be sure to ask for the “Keeper Talks” schedule to find out what animals have special feedings, showings, or enrichment activities today.

YOU can make a difference!

"Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed it's all that ever has." - Margaret Mead, Cultural Anthropologist

You can save animals here in Florida, and all over the world by making small changes in your everyday routine!!
